Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Passes Away at 91

July 13, (THEWILL) The Awujale and paramount ruler of Ijebuland, His Royal Majesty Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, has died at age 91.

Details of the circumstances surrounding his death are sketchy. However, reliable source close to the Awujales Palace in Ijebu-Ode confirmed the monarchs death on Sunday.

Born May 10, 1934, Oba Adetona ascended the throne in 1960, He was the son of Prince Rufai Adetona and Alhaja Ajibabi Adetona (n�e Onashile) and represented the Anikinaiya ruling family.
