Fatal Crash on N3 Near Marianhill Toll Plaza Caused by Reckless Polo Driver

JOHANNESBURG - A reckless Polo driver is being blamed for a horror accident on the N3 near the Marianhill Toll Plaza on Friday night.

Five people, including two police officers, died in the crash.

Three passengers are in serious condition, while nine others sustained minor injuries.

A taxi carrying 17 passengers veered off the road to avoid the Polo.

The accident happened just hours after a provincial government road safety operation.

Transport and Human Settlements MEC Siboniso Duma has expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.
