The movie Miss Kobayashis Dragon Maid: A lonely dragon wants to be loved, which takes place after the second season of Miss Kobayashis Dragon Maid, will be hitting North American theaters! We dont have a date yet, but Crunchyroll will take care of all theatrical releases around the world, with the exception of Asia. It will hit the big screen in Japan on June 27.
Oftentimes anime movies in America are offered in both subbed and dubbed versions, but thats not the case here. The movie will just be offered in Japanese with subtitles.
The movie runs at 105 minutes, was produced by Kyoto Animation, and has Tatsuya Ishihara of Miss Kobayashis Dragon Maid S (the TV version), Miss Kobayashis Dragon Maid S (the OVA), and Miss Kobayashis Dragon Maid S Short Animation Series helming the project as director.
As for the cast, Mutsumi Tamura plays Kobayashi, Yuki Kuwahara plays Tohru, Maria Naganawa plays Kanna, Yuki Takada plays Elma, Minami Takahashi plays Lucoa, Daisuke Ono plays Fafnir, Yuichi Nakamura plays Makoto Takiya, Emiri Kato plays Riko Saikawa, and Kaori Ishihara plays Shota Magatsuchi.

Miss Kobayashi, Tohru, Kanna, and Irurus peaceful lives are shattered when Kannas father, Kamun Kamui, leader of the Chaos Forces, arrives and forces her to return to the Dragon World to fix a past mistake. With a war brewing between Chaos and Harmony, Kanna must find a way to unite the two worlds, but is torn between her loyalty to her friends and her fathers demands. Miss Kobayashi, however, refuses to let her go and tries to mend Kanna and Kamuis broken bond. As dragons clash, Iruru uncovers a hidden force manipulating the war. Can they stop the war before it consumes both worlds?
